Ted Brandsen's dramatic full-length ballet tells the life story of infamous Dutch dancer and alleged spy, Mata Hari. Brandsen's filmic production follows the young Margarethe Zelle on her journey to becoming one of the most fêted dancers in the world... from her strict upbringing in Friesland, through her unhappy marriage in the Dutch East Indies, to Paris and the Moulin Rouge and Europe in the First World War.
Starring award-winning Russian ballerina Anna Tsygankova in the title role, with Casey Herd, Jozef Varga and Artur Shesterikov as Mata Hari's lovers.
